Starting and completing trips

Choose a job from your current city. The game displays the cargo, road miles, expected fuel cost, travel time, weather, and risks before you accept it. The available routes do not expire or reroll on a timer; refreshing shows the same eligible routes. The board changes when you arrive in another city, gain access through reputation or refrigeration equipment, or the game catalog itself is updated. Once you accept a job, its arrival time is set, and the trip continues when you close the page or sign out. When arrival time is reached, complete the delivery to receive the result.

Careful driving takes 10% longer and reduces wear. Normal driving uses the listed travel time. Fast driving takes 10% less time, but increases wear and can be risky in poor weather.

Money, fuel, and truck condition

Delivery payment is reduced by fuel, cargo coverage if chosen, and any applicable citation or cargo loss. Trips also reduce truck condition. Keep cash available for truck care; a truck that needs a required repair cannot accept another job.

Fuel costs a $35 base charge plus $0.28 per mile. A company with at least two members lowers the base charge to $28. A weekly deal may provide 35% off fuel on the next 25 accepted trips. An engine tune-up first reduces the mileage portion by 10%; the company base price is then applied, followed by any 35% offer.

Repairs and preventive maintenance

A repair marked * Required must be completed before the truck can take another job. Before confirmation, the game states the price, waiting time, current condition, condition increase, and expected condition afterward. A dead battery costs $650, takes 10 minutes, and adds 3 condition points. A flat tire costs $950, takes 15 minutes, and adds 3 points. An electrical fault costs $1,900, takes 30 minutes, and adds 5 points. A cooling-system repair costs $2,800, takes 30 minutes, and adds 5 points. A brake repair costs $5,600, takes 45 minutes, and adds 8 points. An engine repair costs $8,000, takes 90 minutes, and adds 10 points. A transmission repair costs $11,000, takes 120 minutes, and adds 12 points. No repair can raise a truck above that model's maximum restorable condition. The engine tune-up remains a separate permanent upgrade that reduces fuel use and breakdown risk.

At low condition, the game warns you to consider maintenance; at 40% condition or lower, a required repair can ground the truck. Conditions from 36% through 40% require either a battery or tire repair; 31% through 35% require electrical work; 26% through 30% require cooling work; 21% through 25% require brakes; 11% through 20% require engine work; and 10% or lower requires transmission work.

Optional preventive maintenance costs $750 and takes 60 minutes. It adds 5% condition and reduces breakdown risk for the next 1,000 miles. You may decline it, but ordinary wear continues and you lose that temporary protection. It cannot be scheduled during a trip, an active delay, or while a required repair is outstanding.

Upgrades

Upgrades stay with the truck that owns them and do not transfer when it is traded. Their price and exact benefit appear in the garage list; owned upgrades are marked Owned. Basic cargo straps reduce a hijacking cargo loss by 20% before cargo coverage. A basic tool kit reduces roadside recovery by 50%. Better tires reduce trip wear by one point, to a minimum of one, and reduce breakdown risk by 15%. An engine tune-up reduces the mileage portion of fuel cost by 10% and reduces breakdown risk by 15%. A used sleeper reduces mandatory rest by 30 minutes, to a minimum of 10 minutes.

A refrigerated trailer unit costs $4,500 and unlocks refrigerated and temperature-controlled loads, including chilled produce, frozen meals, dairy, seafood on ice, and temperature-controlled medicine.

Weather, delays, and risks

Weather is shown before a trip begins. Poor weather and fast driving can result in a citation. Trips under 500 miles do not normally create an immediate rest. Instead, their mileage accumulates, and reaching 500 combined short-trip miles creates a 10-minute mandatory rest. The Progress section shows the current total. A trip from 500 to 999 miles creates a 30-minute rest after delivery; 1,000 to 2,000 miles creates a 60-minute rest; 2,001 to 2,499 miles creates a 90-minute rest; and 2,500 miles or more creates a 120-minute rest. Completing any mandatory rest resets the accumulated short-trip mileage. For example, if a driver accumulates 400 miles on short trips and then completes a trip of 500 miles or more, the long trip creates its normal rest, and completing that rest also clears the earlier 400 short-trip miles. Trucks can sometimes require roadside recovery. Recovery takes 15 minutes after a trip under 500 miles, 30 minutes after a trip from 500 through 1,999 miles, or 45 minutes after a trip of 2,000 miles or more; a tool kit reduces the applicable time by 50%, to 7.5, 15, or 22.5 minutes. Recovery satisfies a 10-minute rest earned from accumulated short-trip mileage, including when Passes clear the recovery, so that small rest does not follow separately. A long-haul rest may still follow recovery and is announced in advance. If the breakdown leaves the truck needing a required repair, its type and separate repair time are also announced immediately. These waits finish by time; return afterward to continue. Cargo security and insurance can reduce the effect of a hijacking loss.

Trucker Passes, Rest Waivers, and weekly deals

During mandatory rest, one Trucker Pass removes up to 30 minutes. The 10-minute accumulated short-trip rest and a 30-minute rest take one Pass to clear immediately; a 60-minute rest takes two; a 90-minute rest takes three; and a 120-minute rest takes four. For loading, repairs, maintenance, and roadside recovery, one Pass continues to remove up to 60 minutes. If you wait first, fewer Passes may be needed to clear the remaining time. Existing waits retain the Pass terms under which they began. The confirmation shows exactly how many minutes will be removed before you spend anything. Passes are optional; waiting is always allowed.

One weekly deal is available from Monday through the following Monday, and each driver may take it once. The rotating deals are 5 Passes for 3 reputation points; 5 Passes for 35% off fuel on the next 25 accepted trips; 7 Passes for $20,000 game cash; 20 Passes for 12 Rest Waivers; or 1 free Trucker Pass. A Rest Waiver removes one complete mandatory rest after confirmation. It cannot remove loading, repairs, maintenance, or roadside recovery. Unaffordable or already-taken weekly deals remain readable but unavailable.

Trucker Passes and Rest Waivers are virtual game items. They are not money, stored value, or a cash account; have no cash value; and cannot be redeemed, sold, assigned, gifted, loaned, traded, or transferred.

Reputation, companies, and notifications

A completed Careful delivery earns 2 reputation points, Normal earns 1, and Speeding earns none. A speeding citation subtracts 2 points, and completing a delivery more than three hours late subtracts 1. A delivery involving a breakdown earns no reputation. Reputation never falls below zero. Creating a company costs $80,000 and requires 150 reputation, 25,000 driven miles, and no active trip, wait, or unpaid emergency repair advance. Company rewards and contracts require at least two members.

Messages remain in the game. Browser alerts are optional and can notify you about due trips and completed waits when supported and enabled.

Achievements and live events

Achievements award their listed Trucker Passes once when their requirements are first met. Administrator-activated live events have their own objective, time window, and Pass reward. Only qualifying trips accepted and completed during the event window count. The dashboard shows current event progress and recent results.

Keyboard shortcuts

When the main Trucker dashboard is active and you are not typing in a field, press Ctrl+Alt+C to hear your cash and Trucker Pass balance. Press Ctrl+Alt+D to hear your current trip and active-delay status. The status shortcut works even when the Active delay section is collapsed.
